For nearly 100 years, VFW Post 1518 has welcomed military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group in Gaylord, Michigan. Our common bond is the battlefield, encompassing service in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, Korea, the Balkans, Iraq, Afghanistan, and peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace. Join us in continuing to serve veterans and the community in Northern Michigan and across the Nation!

Monthly Post and Auxiliary meetings are held the third Thursday of the month at 6 PM in the VFW Room of the Gaylord Bowling Center (1200 Gornick, Gaylord MI). Use the left door as you come in from the parking lot.
Also, listen to "Military Monday" every Monday morning on Eagle 101.5 FM between 8:15-8:30 AM to hear Mike Reling, weekday morning host, interview Post officers and members, and other area veterans... sharing their unique stories and military experiences.
