We invite you to join members of VFW Post 1518 and our local community as we lift up the next generation of leaders at the 9th Annual VFW Scholarship and Tributes Luncheon.The program acknowledges our young people, our veterans, families, recruiters, and the recruits who have pledged to take on the mantle of service and support our great Nation.

This year our post will be awarding 4-$1,000 scholarships to veteran's children and/or grandchildren planning to attend an accredited college or university.  To qualify, application must be a High School senior or an early college 5th year student, live or attend school in Otsego County and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students that would like to apply can find use this printable application, as well as from their school guidance counselor. 

Come out to the Knights of Columbus Hall (2573 Wilkinson Road, Gaylord MI),  April 29th at 6 p.m. for a full program of events starting with the Posting of Colors, and featuring a buffet dinner, scholarship presentations, special honors for the families of our fallen, tributes to our local military recruiters & the next generation joining the ranks, and recognition for all our Veterans.

Bring your friends, family, or favorite neighbor - this is a public event.

There is a $20 charge per person, paid at the door - $15 for children 10 and under.
