Kim has served in the Army for 40 years and had a deployment to Afghanistan; when discharged she was a Lieutenant Colonel. She accepted a job at Camp Grayling as the Environmental Compliance Specialist and lived in the Grayling area after living in Bay City for 35 years. 

 

She joined the VFW in 2022 and is active on many VFW committees and activities including Honor Guard, burial ceremony participant, cemetery flag distributions, and often volunteers for shifts in annual Poppy Days, Alpenfest, and Wreaths Across American distributions. Kim also marches in many of our parades as part of the flag core. 

 

She moved to Gaylord in 2012 with her husband, Tim. She has 3 married children, 2 live in Michigan, one in South Carolina and she has 5 grandchildren.
