Originally from Laingsburg, MI, Katie left the sun and sand of Virginia Beach, VA in 2020 after retiring from the world’s finest Navy after 20 years as a Navy Counselor and relocated to the unsalted waters of Northern Michigan with husband Phil (Veteran from northern Minnesota), and sons Gabe & Jack and our German Shepard Kodi. Outdoor activities, friends and family is what landed her family in northern Michigan.

Katie is heavy in volunteerism, and in addition to her VFW duties, she is involved with her HOA, where she serves as secretary and Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce, as an ambassador.
