Richard Edmonds
Judge Advocate & Service Officer - Marines

After serving 4 years active duty in the Marine Corps, Richard served another 20 years in the Marine Corps Reserves holding a variety of positions and retiring as a Lt. Colonel. He was recalled to active duty several times including Operation Desert Storm. Richard then worked as a Special Agent with NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) and then attended law school in Chicago. After graduation he and his wife Robin and two daughters returned to Michigan where he opened his law practice specializing in estate planning, succession planning and veterans’ assistance.

 Richard is a strong supporter of many veterans’ organizations including the VFW in Gaylord (joined in 2015), Traverse City American Legion, Marine Corps Officers Association, Military Officers Association and VETS INC of Northern Michigan. He currently is serving as Judge Advocate and Service Officer for the Gaylord Post.
